Kent Enterprise Trust has passed Stage I evaluation for funding to help local people into or back into employment, but needs your help to secure the funds via public voting
We’re looking for your help with our ‘Improving Lives 2’ project, which helps people to improve their employability skills in our office through one-to-one support, coaching, mentoring and training. We will also support participants to improve their health and wellbeing with fresh air, exercise and healthy eating using produce they grow themselves in our community garden.
The project has 11 aims in total, which range from creating a strong work ethic and a better infrastructure for finding work, including finding solutions to transport issues, to helping to shape better citizens, who are a valued part of the local community.
We will use the funding to pay for new equipment, tools, trainers, room hire, support and coaches to improve the employment prospects, skills and confidence of the 24 participants who will take part in the project. The Improving Lives 2 project will also have a wider benefit to the family and friends of the 24 participants, as well as to the local community.
“I feel that I have learnt a variety of skills and brushed up on important matters such as better interview techniques, tailoring my CV to the job that I am applying for. I also feel that the certificates that I have passed will help a great deal in getting employment. The staff at Kent Enterprise Trust have been very professional and helpful in getting me back on to the employment ladder.” previous beneficiary.
