Kent Enterprise Trust supports people, often with complex needs, into employment, training or volunteering. Our vision is that no one in Kent of employable age should be out of work because they have not had the opportunity to reach their full potential
Stream Walk Community Garden is the charities outdoor work experience and training site. It is also where we deliver initiatives to promote healthy living and eating for the local community.
In 2016 we celebrated our 5th year of the garden being open to the public and gained a KCC Healthy Business Award. In 2015 we were Community Garden of the month in Garden Answers Magazine and featured on Radio 4 Gardeners Question Time in 2014. Working in partnership with Transition Town Whitstable and other community and educational groups we plan to develop additional projects to increase our reach and impact.
There is real opportunity for the job holder to influence these developments and for the right person the job may become full-time and permanent subject to successful funding initiatives.
