Five volunteers from the charity were delighted to receive awards from the Mayor of Canterbury to recognise their achievement.
Mirelle Frost, Director of Kent Enterprise Trust said “Volunteering is a great way to improve skills and confidence. It demonstrates that people are willing to give to their time, share their skills, knowledge and experience with others to make our community a better place and improve their chances of gaining employment”
Alex Krutnik, CEO of Canterbury and Herne Bay Volunteer Centre said “Its always a bit special when you enable people to be publicly recognised and thanked for their volunteering efforts and I’m glad that they had such a good time at the event; our staff and volunteer gardeners are very much looking forward to a visit to Stream Walk Community Garden to see what Kent Enterprise Trust volunteers have been creating.”
